LAS VEGAS — When Krista Whitley isn’t hard at work, she’s working hard at being a great mom to daughters, Bella and Mia.
In fact, Bella CBD exists thanks to Whitley’s ability to use her business skills in marketing products she originally developed for her daughter, who suffered from agonizing eczema. Bella was picked on at school for her peeling skin. The kids called her the lizard lady. She felt like she had snake-skin. So, Whitley developed Bella CBD in her kitchen hoping to get Bella off of the steroid medication she had been prescribed and to give her some relief from the dry, desert heat.
The result is Bella CBD’s Creme Elegante, a CBD-infused moisturizer that helped Bella where she never felt like she had snake-skin again.
To call Whitley a dedicated mom would be an understatement. She has built her entire company around her family. Whitley enjoys being the mom who takes her kids to ju jitsu lessons and is active in their lives. She makes a point of getting up early to fit her work in while her girls are at school.
“I love spending time with my girls,” Whitley said. “Starting my day early means I get to have dinner with my daughters most nights.”
Whitley realizes the importance of being a role model for her girls in her daily business dealings, as well.
“As the mother of two daughters, who will no doubt grow to become lady leaders in their right, [rudeness and condescension] is something we must call out at every opportunity.”
Whitley has seen first-hand sexism in a mostly male-dominated business world. She hopes her daughters learn from her how to grow through the struggles of life. She hopes that if they see her working through her struggles, they can one day work through their own a little easier.
